Learn how Ready, Set, Food! has partnered with The Pump Station & Nurtury and The Baby Box Co. to educate parents about early allergen introduction.

LOS ANGELES – October 1, 2018 – Ready, Set, Food!, the allergist-developed system that gradually exposes infants to peanut, egg, and milk to significantly lower their risk of developing a food allergy, today announced partnerships with Los Angeles-based The Pump Station & Nurtury and The Baby Box Co. to educate parents and pediatricians about the importance of early and sustained allergen introduction.

The Rise in Food Allergies And A Groundbreaking Solution

1 in 13 children in the U.S. now suffer from a food allergy, and rates are rising. However, recent landmark studies have shown that early and sustained allergen introduction can reduce a child’s risk of developing a food allergy by up to 80%. As a result,  the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAAI) all now recommend early and sustained food allergy exposure.

We are on a mission to end the food allergy epidemic in the United States and we are passionate about educating parents and pediatricians about the importance of early and sustained allergen introduction,” said Daniel Zakowski, CEO, Ready, Set, Food! “We are excited to expand our outreach by partnering with The Pump Station & Nurtury and The Baby Box Co. to provide additional educational resources for parents on our easy, safe, and all-natural way to introduce infants to peanut, egg, and milk, even before they are reliably eating solid foods.”

As part of the partnerships, Ready, Set, Food! will provide educational content to The Pump Station & Nurtury and The Baby Box Co. to distribute to their networks of healthcare experts, parents, and parents-to-be via flyers, email blasts, webinars, blog posts, and special training curriculum for lactation consultants, medical experts, and mommy-and-me teachers.

“The Pump Station is dedicated to being an educational resource,” says Cheryl Petran, CEO of The Pump Station, “so it was a natural fit to partner with Ready, Set, Food! to help educate parents about the science of food allergy prevention.  Their product makes it simple to follow the new national guidelines for early allergen introduction, and we're excited to make it part of the curriculum in our Parent & Me classes".

“The Baby Box Co. is dedicated to providing education to parents through every stage of childhood,” says Doug Wadleigh, CEO of The Baby Box Co. "With 1 in 13 children in the USA affected by food allergies, we are delighted to partner with Ready, Set, Food! to empower more families with information about safe, proactive allergen introduction.”

Ready, Set, Food! is available as a “favorite product” at The Pump Station & Nurtury in Los Angeles, and online nationwide. Ready, Set, Food! is recommended by more than 150 pediatricians and allergists to their patients.
