Providence Early Allergen Introduction Integration

Review our materials below

Part 1
EMR updates with automated education
Edits to after visit summaries with new dot phrases
Using RSF! content, Providence updated after-visit summaries for babies at key milestones (2, 4, 6, & 9 month well child visits) and added multi-lingual dot phrases for high-risk babies to teach food allergy prevention. You can see edits at bit.ly/AfterVisitSummary and bit.ly/DotPhrases
Part 2
Circle App Automated Reminders
Updates to in-app education & resources for parents
Using RSF! content, Providence updated the Circle App to give parents food allergy prevention resources. All parents using the app now receive reminders about early allergen introduction when their baby is 2, 4, 6, & 9 months old, with links to articles about food allergy prevention.
Part 3
In-Office Education Materials
Flyers and other in-office tools to help teach parents
RSF! created educational flyers and other tools for all pediatric and family practice doctors at Providence Health. Flyers are provided at the 2, 4, 6, & 9 month visits as another option to teach about food allergy prevention. Key educational tools for patients include food allergy prevention tri-folds and table tents, and for providers include CME webinars from allergy experts and summaries of the food allergy prevention medical guidelines.

Now early allergen awareness and education is being integrated across the healthcare system.
